POLYNOX – Antioxidants (Thermal Stabilizers)

POLYNOX

Antioxidants (Thermal Stabilizers)

Polymers degrade when exposed to heat, oxygen and processing stress. POLYNOX Antioxidants protect the polymer during processing and throughout service life, ensuring durability, color stability and improved mechanical properties.

BASIC:

  • Prevent discoloration and yellowing
  • Improve processing stability
  • Enhance long-term thermal resistance
  • Maintain polymer strength & flexibility

ADVANCE

  • Ideal for injection molding, extrusion, calendaring & compounding
  • Prevents gel formation, melt instability & oxidative breakdown
  • Recommended test methods: oven aging, MFI stability, ΔE color shift, FTIR oxidation index

TECHNICAL

Primary Antioxidants (Phenolic)

Act as radical scavengers.
Grades: POLYNOX 1010, 1076, 1098 — ideal for long-term stability & color protection.

Secondary Antioxidants (Phosphites)

Decompose hydroperoxides formed during high-temperature processing.
Grade: POLYNOX 168

Synergistic Blends

Combine primary + secondary for best performance.
Grades: B225, B215
Compatible with: PE, PP, ABS, PVC, PS, PA, PU, PET, EVA & engineering plastics
Dosage: 0.05% – 1.0%
